Artist Talk in El Museo's Galerias about my residency project created in Las Galerias about the US April 1965 invasion of Dominican Republic. The research based images highlights Las Mujeres De Abril and their role in resisting the 42,000 US marines, This body of work references a tradition of artists (Goya, Picasso, and George Grosz) who created images of war and aggression. Images address the aftershock of revolutions, and how Art can explore and unpack history to create research base images that communicate knowledge and stories that affect change.
